Frequently asked questions

Booking and rates

How much does it cost to stay at Nora?

The Double Room starts at $690 MXN per night and the Twin Room at $1,990 MXN per night. For stays of a month or longer, monthly rates start at $7,900 MXN with a fan and $9,300 MXN with air conditioning for the Double, and $8,900 MXN and $10,300 MXN respectively for the Twin. All monthly rates include utilities, housekeeping, internet and access to the common areas.

What is the minimum and maximum stay?

We accept stays from a single night up to six months. There are three rate types: nightly (1 to 6 nights), weekly (7 to 29 nights) and the monthly coliving rate (30 to 180 days), the last one at a reduced all-inclusive price.

Is it better to book direct on nora.mx?

Yes. Booking direct on nora.mx avoids the commission that third-party platforms charge, so the same room costs less than on Booking or Airbnb. The site’s booking engine shows real-time availability and nightly pricing.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, credit card and debit card, in Mexican pesos (MXN) and US dollars (USD).

Your stay

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is until 12:00 PM on your departure day. If you arrive earlier or need a later departure, message us and we will see what is possible depending on that day’s occupancy.

Do the rooms have a private bathroom?

Yes. Every room at Nora is private and has its own ensuite bathroom. You do not share a bathroom with other guests.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?

We have rooms with air conditioning and rooms with a fan. On monthly stays the price difference between the two is $1,400 MXN per month. Guadalajara has a mild climate most of the year, averaging 22 °C; the hottest months are April and May.

Are pets allowed?

No, we currently do not allow pets at Nora.

Is English spoken at reception?

Yes. We assist guests in Spanish and English, with on-site reception and support throughout your stay.

Coliving and remote work

What does the monthly coliving rate include?

A private ensuite room, all utilities, fiber internet, regular housekeeping, and access to the coworking space, the pool, the rooftop, the equipped kitchen, the laundry and the parking. There is no year-long deposit and no guarantor required: this is lodging, not a lease.

How is the internet? Is it good enough for video calls?

We have fiber internet at over 200 Mbps, enough for HD video calls, large uploads and several people working at once. It is one of the reasons Guadalajara works well as a remote-work base.

Is there a coworking space inside Nora?

Yes, the coworking space is inside the property and free for guests to use. You do not need a separate membership or to leave the building to work.

How is a coliving different from an Airbnb?

With an Airbnb you rent a space and that is the whole arrangement. At a coliving like Nora you get a private room plus hotel services (housekeeping, reception, on-site support) and shared areas built for community: coworking, a shared kitchen, a rooftop and guest events. There is also flexibility: you can extend month to month with no lease and no guarantor.
